Principal Architect – Analog & System Design Background
Proteus Biomedical is seeking an Principal Architect – Analog & System Design Background in their Redwood City, CA office. The Technology Department is responsible for creating new product direction and architecture, prioritizing, budgeting and reducing to practice essential new technologies that facilitate strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the CTO, the Architect is responsible for the vision of new product direction and driving the realization of advanced technology projects
Partner and lead an interdisciplinary, matrix team comprised of internal and external resources
Develop prototypes of future products to justify significant future investment
Required skills:
Analog: transistor-level design – signal conditioning, signal processing, communications with an emphasis on very low power design (uA’s) and creative problem solving
Digital: design using Verilog behavioral language, synthesis, synchronous combinational logic in schematic capture, microprocessor programming
Broad-skilled Electrical engineer with a proven track record of delivering circuit that satisfy unusual product requirements
Leadership: experience in building and driving a team comprised of hardware, software and clinical experts
Accomplishment: Demonstrated success in the realization of something once considered “impossible”
Creative: works closely with Marketing and Business Development teams to create and implement forward looking strategic plan
Team player: willing to work as individual contributor and as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the success of the enterprise
Self-starter - motivated and able to work without extensive direction
Education:
Must have Master’s degree in EE, Applied Physics, or related field, advanced degree preferred
